RENEWAL OF PESANTREN IN MEETING THE ERA OF SOCIETY 5.0
Keywords:
Era Society 5.0, Pondok Pesantren, RenewalAbstract
The public's view of the condition of Pondok Pesantren as a traditional Islamic boarding school institution is a difficult thing to get rid of, because indeed the reality of many Pondok Pesantren maintains a system that has been going on since tens or even hundreds of years ago without any renewal, and is not open to accepting changes in various aspects. This condition also occurs in the MTI Batang Kabung Pondok Pesantren, based on a preliminary survey of the views of the Tarbiyah community and the community around the Pondok Pesantren, this institution is part of the Pondok Pesantren where there is no renewal. However, researchers see that this pesantren has made updates to several aspects, but the renewal has not been exposed and has not been felt by the wider community. Therefore, this study aims to reveal the renewal carried out at the Islamic Boarding School in welcoming the Era of Society 5.0. The method used is qualitative research with an exploratory approach. This approach is used because of the researcher's desire to uncover the things that the informants have done, as well as the informant's knowledge of the existing changes made by others. Data were collected by observation, interviews and documentation studies. The research data were analyzed by interactive techniques. The result of the research is that the MTI Batang Kabung Pondok Pesantren has made updates to the managerial aspect, leadership is no longer centered on the figure of the founder. In welcoming the era of society 5.0, the MTI Batang Kabung Pondok Pesantren also made updates from the curriculum aspect.
